2011 Porsche Sport Cars Cayman R

2011 Porsche Sport Cars Cayman R
A couple days ago Porsche released a press statement saying that it will unveil a new “mid-engine sports car” at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show, it’s 2011 Porsche Cayman R. The Porsche alphabet reserves the letter R for very special sports cars: R for responsive and refined – but most especially for racy. The new Cayman R combines all these attributes without compromise. 2011 Porsche Sport Cars Cayman R has further developed the car by reducing weight, increasing horsepower and raising agility and handling to new heights.
Weighing 55 kg less than the equivalent Cayman S, and the new mid-engine coupé from Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is designed for spectacular road behaviour, the 330 hp Porsche Cayman R has been created for one reason: pure, distilled driving dynamics. With its highly-tuned sports suspension and vigilant attention to weight savings, the new Cayman model offers a driving experience even more precise than that of the acclaimed Cayman S. The 2011 Porsche Sport Cars Cayman R makes its world debut today at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Power for the 2011 Porsche Sport Cars Cayman R comes from a tuned 3.4L inline 6-cylinder engine making a total of 330-hp allowing for a 0-62 mph time of 5 seconds when mated to a 6-speed manual and 4.9 seconds when mated to Porsche’s 7-speed PDK transmission. Adding the optional Sport Chrono packages brings the 0-62 mph time down to 4.7 seconds. Top speed for the 2011 Porsche Sport Cars Cayman R comes in at 175 mph with a 6-speed manual and 174 mph with the PDK.
For interior 2011 Porsche Sport Cars Cayman R has features Alcantara and leather upholstery, sport seats, strap door handles and a painted console color-keyed to the exterior. Under the skin, the suspension has been enhanced with shorter, more rigid springs and there are customized anti-roll bars on the front and rear axles (the ride height is about 20 millimeters lower than the Cayman S).

Tracing its lineage back to the famous mid-engined 904 coupes of the 1960s, the Porsche Cayman R celebrates its world premiere at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 17, 2010.
The new 2011 Porsche Sport Cars Cayman R will go on sale from February 2011, priced from £51,731 ( $66,300 ) and the price in Germany will be EUR 69,830 inclusive of 19 percent VAT and country-specific equipment items. 2010 Porsche Sports Car Panamera Rivage GT 970 by Hofele Design

Hofele-Design, has released its latest tuning kit for the 2010 Porsche Panamera Rivage GT 970. The Porsche Panamera Rivage has designed German Tuner Hofele-Design with this body kit Hofele-design carries over the astonishing design lines by the Porsche designers and sharpens them even a bit more. The new tuning package dubbed Rivage GT 970 modifies the exterior as well the interiors of the Porsche’s sports saloon.
Behind the wheels lies a six-piston red caliper brake set with cross-drilled and vented 370 x 35mm discs. Potentially, the company can outfit the sports car with a four-piston, 342 x 34mm set of brakes instead, and they acknowledge that other disc diameters may also be possible.
The exhaust system meanwhile has been replaced with serial exhaust system coupled with Hofele 4-tube stainless steel sports muffler. The  sports car stands on 22-inch K-Series wheels measuring at 10J x 22-inch.
Engineers also fit an electronic lowering system, which brings the car down as much as 40 mm. The three-stage system works at speeds up to 80 km/h (50 mph), and has a kill switch that brings the car back to its original height.
When driven at speeds over 80 km/h, the Hofele Rivage GT 970’s lowering unit switches the ride back to its serial height to give the suspension its full comfort and stability.
All plastic parts are made of the highest-quality & heat resistant „HPG" material which received the grade "sehr gut" (A) by the German TUEV authorities and are being mounted to the original points of attachment on the Panamera. All parts are reversible.

Other performance upgrade is the use of high-performance sport brake kit that consists of 6-piston brake calliper and perforated, inner-ventilated brake discs.

2011 Mansory Porsche Sports Cars Panamera Turbo Power Pack

MANSORY has revealed today their new 2010 MANSORY Porsche Panamera Turbo program which offers both extra power for the German super saloon and a new styling package. The MANSORY Porsche  Sports Cars Panamera Turbo is powered by the 4.8 liter turbo engine which has a new ECU, larger turbochargers and a and a stainless steel sports exhaust system.
2011 Mansory Porsche Sports Cars Panamera Turbo
The tuned version gets a big 36-percent increase in power and torque. MANSORY Switzerland has unveiled their latest power pack for the Porsche Sports Cars Panamera Turbo. The specialist for fine-tuning Porsche vehicles turns the Zuffenhausen Gran Turismo into a hot-blooded power pack with a 690 HP, a max. torque of 800 Nm and a spectacular body design.
The MANSORY power pack comes the new front skirt with adapted LED daytime running lights in combination with the striking bonnet made of carbon fibre give the front section a distinctive character. At the back of this four-door-car, an enormous carbon diffuser and the centrally located double end pipes of the sports exhaust system render a thrilling atmosphere.
MANSORY decorates the originally hydraulic rear with carbon applications or entirely replaces it with a static wing profile made of carbon. The engineers produce the new aerodynamics components in high-strength polyurethane (PU-RIM) and Prepreg-Autoclav-Carbon, the characteristic material for MANSORY.
The 2010 Mansory Porsche Panamera Turbo Power Pack contains an amended engine electronics, larger turbo chargers and a stainless steel sports exhaust system. Thanks to these modifications, the engine output rises to an astonishing 690 hp / 507 kW (serial: 500 hp / 368 kW) and pushes the torque to 800 Nm at 4800 r.p.m. Therefore, the 4WD-automobile accelerates from 0 to 100 km/ in only four seconds and achieves a top speed of 328 km/h (serial: 303 km/h).
The power improvements begin with a remapped engine control unit, but Mansory did not stop there.  They also added bigger turbos to the all-wheel drive car, as well as a new sports exhaust.
Other features on the car include LED daytime runners built into the new front fascia, a carbon fiber hood, wider flares, and redesigned side skirts.  A new carbon fiber diffuser matches a new lightweight rear spoiler.  Also included are 9x22-inch front, 10x22-inch rear forged wheels wrapped in Dunlop SP SportMaxx tires.
The Mansory Power Pack also features especially light 22-inch forged wheel in turbine design. At the front axle, the 9 inch wide wheels carry the high performance wheels Dunlop SP SportMaxx in the dimension 265/30ZR22 while the rear 10-inch wide wheels are equipped with tyres measuring 295/25ZR22.
MANSORY Switzerland bestows an individual appearance to the Porsche Sports Cars Panamera. The complex refinement turns a sports car for journeys into a characteristic personality – after all a real MANSORY.
Full leather interior, wood or carbon trim, and aluminum pedals are also added, along with a new sports steering wheel.  The Mansory Porsche Sports Cars Panamera Turbo is now available for order.
The MANSORY Porsche Sports Cars Panamera Turbo price has not been disclosed at this moment.

Auto Trend Porsche GT Carrera

The Porsche Carrera GT lifts its nose, squats down, and leaps forward like a world-class sprinter out of the blocks. With traction control activated, wheelspin isn't an issue in first or second gear, which clonks in at 48 mph. Porsche claims that the Carrera GT can storm from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.9 seconds-on this run, we record 4.2 seconds, and that feels pretty damned quick.

Second gear stretches to an indicated 82 mph, third is good for 113 mph, and fourth takes us to 143 mph-close to the chip-controlled top speed for all BMWs, Audis, and Mercedes-Benzes. In the Carrera GT, though, there are still two more ratios to come. Fifth runs out of revs at 170 mph, and sixth takes over at 7000 rpm. Because it's not that aerodynamically efficient (the Cd is 0.40), the Carrera GT tops out at 205 mph-plenty fast but some way short of a McLaren F1, for instance. Porsche tester Roland Kussmaul says that some of the prototypes have been clocked at up to 218 mph, but one would need a ton of room to achieve that. In the vast acreage of the Michelin proving ground at Gross-Dlln, near Berlin, we run out of road at 199 mph. This exercise looks positively stunning from the outside, but on a dry stretch of arrow-straight tarmac, driving this ber-Porsche at this speed is childishly simple.

The Carrera GT is Porsche's fastest and most expensive supercar, challenging the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren for the title of ultimate supercar of the early twenty-first century. Like the others, the Carrera has a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, with a matching drivetrain cradle. Made in Italy, each monocoque consists of more than 1000 individual elements that are glued, laminated, and baked together. Attached to the carbon fiber structure are composite body panels, so you need to look long and hard to detect the few metal ingredients. Among them are the front chassis rails, tubular A-post inserts, fuel tank, and double control-arm and pushrod suspension. The combination of an ultra-stiff structure with suspension components mounted without rubber isolation yields exceptional steering precision and unfiltered, unamplified communication among car, driver, and the road on which they travel.

Styling Porsche GT Carrera

Porsche Carrera GT, manufactured by Porsche of Germany, is priced at $440,000 dollars. It is well worth its price if we count the 5.7 litre V10 engine producing 612 DIN (605 SAE) horsepower (450 kW) and the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62.5 mph) in 3.9 seconds, touching a maximum speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).

The design is stunning too, Carrera GT has a 5 colors paint schemes that includes: black, guards red, fayence yellow, basalt black, GT silver and seal grey.
The innovating thing about this car is the way that its engine

is placed: with the use of a clutch made of a high-tech ceramic material, it`s allowing the engine to sit lower in the chassis than in any other super car. This feature is not only making the Carrera GT a road car with the looks of a race one, but also improves its aerodynamics and lowers its center of gravity.

Porche Carrera GT does have traction control even if, like some of its competitions, doesn`t use electronic driving aids such as dynamic stability control.

2013 Porsche Sports Cars 918 RSR Race Car

13-year-old WCF member and Porschephile, porschecarreragtmay6, has created some renderings of a Porsche 918 RSR race car. Based on the 918 Spyder concept, the pictures show a hardcore coupe, wearing some classic Porsche liveries, designed to compete in the GT1 class.
2013 Porsche Sports Cars 918 RSR Race Car
Although these renderings were created back in March, shortly after the 918 Spyder's surprise unveiling in Geneva, they provide a potential glimpse of a race spec 918 in the wake of recent reports that Porsche will field the 918 Spyder at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring in 2011.
The 2013 Porsche 918 RSR Race Car comes with 2 electric motors and a 500hp V8 from the “RS Spyder” LMP-2 car. The 918 RSR Race Car will drop the electric motors, but will retain the KERs and 500 hp V8. Since GT1 regulated no more than 600 hp, Porsche may remove air-restrictors from the engine to boost the output to 600hp.
As a refresher, the 918 Spyder concept featured a 368 kW (500 PS / 493 hp) V8 engine and three electric motors with a total of 160 kW (218 PS / 215 hp). Packing a combined 528 kW (718 PS / 708 hp), the Spyder sent power through a PDK dual-clutch gearbox (with an electric boost function) to an electric all-wheel drive system.
The 918 RSR model will race the same competitions as the classical 917 race car. It will drop the electric motors, but will retain the KERS and the 500hp V8. Since the GT1 regulates no more than 600hp, Porsche may remove air-restrictors from the engine to boost the output to 600hp. The "918 RSR" will be able to hit a top speed of 200mph and will make the 0 to 60 mph sprint in than 3.0 seconds.
It will feature a wider track, redesigned front and rear diffusers, as well as a fixed hard-top roof and a huge rear wing. The liveries on these images were created based off of the classic Porsche liveries and designed to compete in the GT1 class.
The Porsche 918 RSR Race Car will top in the 200mph range and will reach 62mph in less than 3.0 seconds, possibly 2.8 seconds. The weight will be around 1,240 kilos, 2,730 lbs.
The weight loss will comes from the loss of the batteries stripped interior and loss of amenities even more extensive use of carbon fiber and a reconstruction of body work.
